His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nayhan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has lauded the efforts and hard work of volunteers around the world.
"Volunteers represent the true strength of our societies," Sheikh Mohamed said in a message coinciding with International Volunteer Day on December 5.
"On International Volunteer Day, we acknowledge the dedication and community spirit of volunteers in the UAE and worldwide. Their work is an invaluable gift bestowed upon all communities," His Highness added.

The International Volunteer Day was designated by the United Nations in 1985 to celebrate the power and potential of volunteerism.
