As part of the UAE's ongoing humanitarian support for Gaza, the Emirates has launched a new initiative, the 'Subsidised Bread' campaign, to help combat the worsening food crisis in the region.
The campaign is part of Operation 'Chivalrous Knight 3', the UAE’s larger effort to deliver critical relief to Palestinians affected by the ongoing conflict.

The campaign specifically addresses the severe shortage of bread, due to recent border closures and restrictions on food aid. Gaza has faced disruptions in its food supply chain, leading to widespread hunger and rising bread prices.
Under this campaign, the UAE has facilitated the reopening of several bakeries by providing them with essential supplies like flour and other production materials.
This effort allows bakeries across the Strip to resume operations, aiming to provide the local population with affordable and accessible bread.
According to reports from the UAE’s humanitarian task forces, these continuous efforts are essential as the region faces critical shortages, limited access to healthcare, and disruptions in everyday life due to the prolonged conflict.
In addition to immediate relief, the UAE's "Chivalrous Knight 3" operations encompass a broader mission to support Gaza’s infrastructure and sustain essential services.
As the situation in Gaza remains precarious, the UAE has emphasised its commitment to providing ongoing support to mitigate the humanitarian impact of the conflict.
This initiative highlights the UAE’s focus on international humanitarian responsibility, aiming to offer much-needed assistance to civilians and support a path toward long-term relief.
