More prisoners have been pardoned in the UAE ahead of Eid Al Adha.
His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman has ordered the release of 70 prisoners who have demonstrated good conduct.
A further 73 will be set free in Fujairah following a directive by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah.
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain has also pardoned a number of inmates in addition to deporting foreigners back to their home countries, ahead of Eid.
On Sunday, the UAE’s President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan had ordered the release of 669 prisoners, while another 430 are to be freed in Dubai.
