UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held phone discussions with several world leaders over the recent military escalation in the region.
He spoke with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
They condemned the Iranian attacks on the UAE and other Arab countries as violations of sovereignty, international law, and the United Nations Charter, and stressed the urgent need for de-escalation.
President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and President Nikos Christodoulides of Cyprus, also expressed their strong condemnation of the attacks during their phone calls with Sheikh Mohamed.
His Highness thanked each leader for their countries’ supportive stance towards the UAE.
All parties emphasised the importance of dialogue and diplomatic solutions to prevent further escalation and preserve security and stability in the region.
