UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has hosted an official reception in honour of his South Korean counterpart, Lee Jae-myung, at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Mohamed accompanied Jae-myung to the ceremony where the national anthems of both countries were played, a 21-gun salute was fired, and an honour guard lined up to pay tribute to the distinguished guest.
As the Korean President’s motorcade entered the palace courtyard, the UAE Air Force aerobatic team, Al Fursan, performed a flypast trailing smoke in the colours of the Korean flag.
Horse and camel parades lined the route, while a group of Emirati children waved the flags of both countries and Emirati folk groups performed traditional songs and dances.
Jae-myung, who is on a state visit to the UAE, earlier toured Wahat Al Karama.
