UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held talks over the weekend with the Kings of Bahrain and Jordan and the Emir of Qatar.
In separate phone calls, Sheikh Mohamed discussed areas of joint cooperation and ways to enhance relations with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.
The leaders also reviewed a number of regional and international issues, particularly the situation in the Middle East and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
They stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and assure the protection of civilians in accordance with the rules of international humanitarian law.
They underscored the need for urgent action by the international community and the coordination of Arab efforts to contain tension and push towards a path of a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution to ensure stability and security for all.
