UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reiterated the country's commitment to empower the youth to serve as leaders in their communities.
In a social media message posted to mark International Youth Day, Sheikh Mohamed highlighted how the "ambition and achievements of youth" play a crucial role "in fostering a better future".
"Recognising their important role in our nation’s continued advancement, the UAE remains committed to empowering youth to serve as leaders in their communities and contribute to our collective progress," Sheikh Mohamed wrote.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also took to social media to mark the occasion.
"We honour our youth in all fields, and we celebrate their spirit as it drives our vision and ambitions toward global excellence," Sheikh Mohammed wrote.
"To all our youth, the sons and daughters of the homeland, we say: You are the fuel, the spirit and the driving force of our progress. With you, alongside you, and for you, we build the best environment for youth life around the world."
