The UAE is completely free of the mysterious virus emerging in China.
That’s according to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), which says adequate precautionary measures are in place and there’s no cause for concern.
It’s closely coordinating with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and other international agencies on the latest updates to the outbreak in China.
The ministry will also be setting up a national media committee to carry out awareness campaigns within the Emirates.
The announcement came during a meeting with representatives from Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Department of Health-Abu Dhabi, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, the General Authority of Ports, Borders and Free Zones Security, UAE Airports and other strategic partners.
