Data from the Financial Tracking Service of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has revealed the UAE has contributed 42 per cent of total aid provided to the Gaza Strip.
The UAE’s contributions were valued at $828 million in assistance between October 2023 and November 2024.
Most recently, the country announced it was sending a new batch of ambulances to the besieged area, while two convoys carrying essential supplies and winter relief items entered Gaza through Egypt's Rafah border crossing late last month.
The UAE was among the first countries to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, focusing on supporting vital sectors and providing humanitarian and medical aid by air, land, and sea.
