The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced it has carried out more than 220,000 laboratory tests across the UAE for coronavirus.
The UAE's testing coverage is the second highest per capita, in the world, at more than 22,900 tests for every million people.
MoHAP says that rate is testimony to the efficiency of the national health system and the country’s readiness to tackle the virus.
The tests have been conducted in collaboration with various local health authorities and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of citizens and residents and to curb the spread of COVID-19.
