His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has held a series of phone calls with his counterparts in Qatar, Oman, France, Russia and the UK to discuss rising regional tensions.
The talks followed the recent Israeli military targeting of Iran and focused on the implications for regional and global stability.
The ministers expressed concern over the potential fallout and emphasised the urgent need to prevent further escalation.
They reaffirmed their commitment to diplomatic engagement and peaceful dialogue as the primary means to resolve crises.

Sheikh Abdullah also spoke with Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abbas Araghchi, during which he strongly condemned the Israeli military operations.
The UAE diplomat emphasised that diplomacy and dialogue, respect for state sovereignty, and adherence to international law are essential foundations for resolving all crises.
He also stressed the need to exercise maximum restraint and to avoid any escalation that could jeopardise regional stability and threaten both regional and international peace.
