The UAE has strongly condemned the attempt to target the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the UAE’s solidarity with Putin, as well as with the government and people of Russia.
It also reiterated the UAE’s unwavering rejection of all forms of violence aimed at undermining security and stability.
According to Reuters, Russia accused Ukraine of attacking the presidential residence in the Novgorod region overnight with 91 long-range drones, which were all destroyed by Russian air defences, with no injuries or damage.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the accusation was a lie, adding that Moscow was preparing the ground to strike government buildings in Kyiv.
