Ajman Police have arrested two people for claiming to turn paper into hundred dollar bills.
According to authorities, they reportedly told a resident that they can double his money for AED15,000.
In exchange for the money, they gave the victim 'black notes' sprayed with a chemical liquid, claiming they turn into dollar bills when washed.
The person notified Ajman's Department of Criminal Investigation that he had been tricked, which was when a team was formed to arrest the scammers.
Both of the accused confessed to their crime.
Officials collaborated with the Ajman resident, asking him to request for more 'black-notes' from the fraudsters in exchange for AED100,000.
They were met by police officials at the pick-up location where they were arrested and admitted to their crimes.
