The UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) is looking into a training aircraft accident that occurred in Fujairah airspace.
The plane, which was carrying an instructor and a trainee, lost radar contact about 20 minutes after taking off.
The body of the flight instructor has been recovered along the coast of Fujairah, while efforts are underway to locate the trainee pilot and the aircraft wreckage.
The GCAA has expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased pilot and said that it is working closely with relevant authorities to support the ongoing search and rescue operations.
