In line with the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a third UAE aid ship, carrying over 2,000 tonnes of food, construction and medical relief, arrived at Syria's Port of Latakia.
Titled "Operation Gallant Knight/2", it is part of efforts by the Emirates Red Crescent to provide aid to those impacted by the earthquake that struck in February.
"The ERC will continue to scale up its humanitarian response to help the quake-affected people in Syria," said Hammoud Abdullah Al Junaibi, Acting Secretary-General of ERC.
Meanwhile, Amer Ismail Hilal, Governor of Latakia, lauded the UAE's efforts to help Syria.
