The UAE is slashing the prices of as many as 410 medicines by up to 77 per cent.
These are generic drugs used for treating cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, cholesterol and angina.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention has held talks with various pharmaceutical companies to implement the changes.
The price reductions come into effect from September 15.
