Sharjah cancels NYE fireworks in solidarity with Gaza

Sharjah Police have announced a ban on fireworks displays and celebrations on New Year's Eve as a mark of solidarity with the people of Gaza.

The authority has urged all organisations and members of the public to comply with the directive.

It added that legal action will be taken against those who violate the rules.
