Several flights scheduled for Friday, January 9, between Dubai and Iranian cities, including Tehran, Shiraz, Mashhad, Bandar Abbas and Lar, have been cancelled.
A flydubai spokesperson confirmed that all of the airline’s flights to Iran scheduled for Friday were cancelled.
The airline said it is in direct contact with affected passengers and is closely monitoring the situation to adjust its flight schedule as needed.
Customers have been advised to contact the flydubai Contact Centre in Dubai at (+971) 600 54 44 45, visit a flydubai travel shop, or reach out to their travel agent for rebooking options.
Travellers are also being urged to update their contact details via the “Manage Your Booking” section and regularly check flight status on flydubai.com.
Meanwhile, Emirates’ flight EK979 to Tehran was cancelled on Friday, the Dubai Airports website showed.
Air Arabia also cancelled several of its scheduled flights from Sharjah to Iranian cities on Friday, according to data published on the airline’s official website.
These included flights G9201 (Tehran), G9213 (Shiraz), G9217 (Lar) and G9205 (Mashhad).
