Motorists are increasingly turning to the Dubai Police smart application for reporting minor traffic accidents.
As many as 101,119 incidents have been registered through the app since January.
Officials said the smart service helps drivers and police patrols save time and effort, in addition to reducing traffic jams.
"The service is simple and easy to use. It requires the driver to access the Dubai Police application, use the minor traffic accident reporting feature and enter the required data such as vehicle information, driver's licence number for the accident parties, and photographs from the scene," explained Brigadier Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence at Dubai Police.
He also stressed the importance of clearing the vehicles from the accident site before using the service, in order to avoid causing inconvenience to other road users.
