Abu Dhabi Traffic Police are set to impose new speed limits on the Abu Dhabi – Al Ghuwaifat Road, which research suggests is one of the ten most dangerous roads in the Emirate. According to reports, there will be two different speed limits applicable on three sections of the road. The first stage from Al Dhafra Bridge to Baynona Forests will have a speed limit of 100km/hour, with the second part of the road, stretching from Baynona Forests to Barakah, at 120km/hour. The third section, from Barakah to Al Ghuwaifat, will have a speed limit of 100km/hour. The police will also impose maximum speed limit for heavy trucks and passenger buses.
