Valet parking services are now allowed in Dubai but attendants have to follow a strict set of health and safety guidelines.
It’s mandatory for them to wear gloves and masks, in addition to protective face shields if they come into direct contact with customers.
They also have to undergo temperature screening and those showing symptoms should not be working.
Staff are required to change their gloves and sanitize hands after every valet service, while disposable covers have to be used on car seats and steering wheels.
Each valet station should have sanitizing wipes to clean all the touch points inside a vehicle before returning it to the guest.
Service providers must also ensure that the parking facilities and equipment are regularly sanitized and disinfected.
As per the latest protocols, parking attendants should keep the AC on for sometime before handing the car back to the guests (while keeping the doors and windows open) in order to ensure proper air circulation.
They can also use fogging sanitation or special strong fans for ventilation purposes.
