As many as 3,556 traffic violations were recorded by Dubai Police during the recent National Day holidays, while 128 vehicles were confiscated.
The violators were pulled up for reckless driving, racing on the roads, indulging in stunts and causing inconvenience to other road users and residents.
Most of the violations were detected in Bur Dubai (2,488 violations; 95 vehicles seized) and Deira (1,068 violations; 33 seizures) jurisdictions.
Police patrols were stepped up in all regions of the emirate during the holidays to keep an eye on troublemakers and ensure smooth traffic flow.
