The event was aimed at highlighting the gaps in climate finance for decarbonisation and urging stakeholders, particularly in the private sector financial entities, to accelerate green finance.
The special session focused on climate risks, reporting, and the decarbonisation of investments for financial institutions, highlighting the challenges in climate finance for decarbonisation.
The event comes as the UAE prepares to host COP28, the UN Climate Change Summit, later this year and as the country marks the Year of Sustainability.
