A delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has checked in on the injured Palestinians receiving treatment at the UAE field hospital in the Gaza Strip.
Led by Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Development Affairs, the delegation was briefed on the treatments offered at the hospital, which has been established in stages, to provide urgent medical care to Palestinians injured in the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The 150-bed hospital was launched as part of the ‘Gallant Knight 3’ humanitarian operation under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
It features departments for general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics and gynecology, in addition to anesthesia and intensive care units catering to both children and adults.
The facility will also house clinics for internal medicine, dentistry, psychiatry and family medicine. Supplementary services will include CT imaging, a laboratory, a pharmacy and other support functions.
