Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed major improvements around the Hatta Souq Roundabout, aimed at boosting traffic flow, reducing travel time, and improving safety for road users.
The project includes the construction of a new 1 km service road that links the roundabout to the Dubai-Hatta Road, enhancing access for shoppers and visitors heading to Hatta Souq.
The upgrade also improves connections to the Masfut area in both directions, making daily travel smoother for residents and visitors.
Hamad Al Shehhi, Director of Roads at the RTA, highlighted the installation of modern lighting along the stretch to boost safety, especially at night.
The project also involved relocating utility services and implementing an Irish Crossing system to manage surface water drainage and ensure road durability under all weather conditions.
Al Shehhi stressed that these improvements are part of the RTA's ongoing efforts to enhance the road network, support tourism, and ensure Hatta remains a top destination for residents and visitors.
