Only those cleared by the UAE health authorities will be allowed to board the plane, according to the latest guidelines released by the Indian Embassy.
Travellers will also be required to sign an undertaking to undergo compulsory quarantine at the destination of arrival and bear the cost of the same.
At the time of boarding, each passenger will be handed a safety kit containing two face masks, two pairs of gloves and small bottles of hand sanitizers.
The first two repatriation flights to India will leave from Dubai and Abu Dhabi on May 7.
The Indian Embassy and Consulate have already shared the list of passengers with Air India Express for issuing the tickets.
On arrival at the destination airport in India, thermal screening will be carried out and passengers will have to follow the quarantine or isolation protocols specified by the Indian government.
