His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has officially opened the 45th edition of GITEX GLOBAL at Dubai World Trade Centre.
Running until October 17, the event is the world’s largest showcase of technology and artificial intelligence.
Welcoming over 6,800 tech companies and 2,000 startups from 180 countries, His Highness highlighted the UAE’s vision to become a global leader in digital innovation.
He added that Dubai is working to increase the economic contribution of digital transformation to AED 100 billion annually by 2033.
During his tour, Sheikh Mohammed visited key pavilions featuring cutting-edge technologies in AI, robotics, cloud computing and smart mobility, including flying cars and autonomous vehicles.
He also met with global tech giants like AWS, Huawei, Microsoft and Oracle, and reviewed innovative government and private sector showcases.
GITEX GLOBAL continues to serve as a major platform for shaping the future of digital transformation, supporting strategies like the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and UAE Vision 2031.
Sheikh Mohammed praised GITEX for evolving into a global movement that strengthens the UAE’s position as a key player in the international digital economy.
