H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, has discussed the achievements of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council as he chaired its first meeting.
His Highness highlighted the council’s role in developing one of the largest national initiatives to support UAE citizens working in the private sector, boost its global competitiveness and supply it with young Emirati talent.
Known as the Nafis programme, Sheikh Mansour stressed the importance of the collaboration between relevant authorities in the government and private sector to achieve its objectives.
It was launched in September to help the sector employ 75,000 citizens over the next five years.
Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Council pointed to the significant results achieved by the programme over a short period of time, with 2,360 citizens finding work in its first 90 days.
