His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and foreign ministers on the sidelines of the 79th UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
The UAE official met with the foreign minsters of Latvia, Malta, Malaysia, Singapore, Belarus, Argentina, and Greece.
Sheikh Abdullah and the foreign ministers discussed various issues on the agenda of the UN General Assembly, highlighting the importance of joint cooperation within international organisations and its role in supporting global sustainable development goals.
They also reviewed bilateral cooperation and partnerships in fields such as economy, trade, investment, education, food security, health, culture, artificial intelligence, advanced technology, renewable energy, and climate.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the ministers, emphasising the UAE’s steadfast commitment to strengthening bonds of friendship with nations around the world and expressing the desire for further cooperation in areas that align with shared development aspirations and efforts towards achieving sustainable economic prosperity.
He also discussed the latest regional and international developments with the ministers, including the situation in the Middle East and its repercussions on international peace and security.
