It's to ensure a safe return to worship and to protect the community.
The Community Development Authority in Dubai (CDA) has compiled a list of all procedures and precautionary measures that must be followed.
There will be free Covid-19 test for clergy and workers in places of worship in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
Places of worship also need to provide thermal detection devices, organise the entry and exit of worshipers, and close prayer rooms immediately after each prayer.
The venues capacities cannot exceed 30%, and worshipers must bring their own prayer books and their other prayer accessories.
Prayers must be scheduled at specific times, physical distancing procedures, and comprehensive sterilization have to be carried out by sterilization centers accredited by Dubai Municipality.
Places of worship will be inspected to ensure they are following the implementation of procedures.
Regulations also stipulate not shaking hands and only waving remotely.
In addition, downloading the "Al-Hosn" application for all visitors to the places of worship is a necessity.
