Face masks are no longer mandatory at Expo 2020 Dubai's outdoor areas.
Organisers confirmed that wearing masks is now optional in outdoor public spaces, but they are encouraging guests and staff to continue wearing them in entertainment venues with large attendances.
They added that Expo 2020's COVID-19 preventive measures will continue to include the mandatory wearing of masks indoors.
"Health and safety remains a key priority, with stringent rules in place across the site. All Expo visitors aged 18 and above must show either proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test result taken within the previous 72 hours," organisers said in a statement.
