Etihad Airways and researchers at the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology have teamed up to develop a new fog prediction and monitoring system. The research agreement between the Abu Dhabi airline and the institute aims to help aircraft know in advance when fog is likely to form on the tarmac. This will allow officials to plan for delays in advance and avoid disruptions on the ground. The announcement came at the start of UAE Innovation Week 2015.
