Federal government workers will enjoy a week-long holiday for Eid Al Fitr after the UAE Cabinet decided to extend the dates that were initially announced.
The holidays for federal entities will now run from Saturday, April 30 to Friday, May 6 with work resuming on Monday, May 9.
This means federal entities will have a nine-day break when combined with the Saturday-Sunday weekend.
Meanwhile, no extension has been announced yet to the holidays for the private sector, which will run from Ramadan 29 till Shawwal 3.
