The Dubai Municipality has shuttered 247 food establishments since January 2021.
As many as 79 of those outlets were shut due to violations of the city’s COVID-19 protocols.
The other 168 establishments did not meet the food safety standards set by the city.
The authorities conducted over 32,000 inspection visits in the last six months.
