The court will only hear cases involving values above AED 500,000. It will be heard within 30 days of a file being lodged, with the rulings made within a year.
The court will have the power to decide on inheritance lawsuits, liquidation of an estate or the division of its funds among heirs, any civil, property, or commercial lawsuit arising from the inheritance, or any incidental requests related to the expulsion or entry of an heir.
Decisions issued by the court will be final, although an appeal can be made by the submission of a petition.
