As many as two million passengers used public transport in Dubai in a single day, marking a new record.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai's Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council, who revealed the milestone, thanked the emirate's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for "delivering the world’s best mass transit services".
"The aerial taxi service set to be launched by 2026 will be a new chapter in this remarkable success story," he added.
