Young Arab media talent is being called to the spotlight as the Dubai Press Club opens submissions for the 10th edition of the 'Ibda’a – Arab Youth Media Award'.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, the Award has grown into a leading regional platform for discovering and empowering the next generation of media professionals.
Designed for media students across the Arab world, and Arab students studying abroad, the initiative offers a springboard into the industry, connecting creative talent with top media institutions.
This year’s competition includes six categories: Photography, Podcasting, News Reports, E-Games, Multimedia, and Short Video — with a $5,000 prize for each winning entry.
Entries must be submitted by February 16, 2026, either through universities or directly by students with academic endorsement.
Winners will be honoured during the Arab Youth Media Forum in Dubai, an annual event that brings together industry leaders and emerging talent to explore the future of media.
