Dubai Police came to the aid of a tourist who accidentally dropped his personal belongings into the Hatta Dam.
A team from the maritime rescue department was quick to the scene after the man contacted the emergency hotline seeking help.
An underwater mission was launched to retrieve the valuables that had plunged deep into the waters.
"We happily respond to people’s requests and recover their valuables and exceed their expectations," said Lieutenant-Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Naqbi, Director of the Maritime Rescue Department at Dubai Police.
The tourist expressed his thanks to the police for the speedy recovery of the items.
