No traffic accident-related deaths were recorded in the jurisdiction area of Dubai's Al Qusais Police station during the first half of 2023.
It's a major improvement in the area's road safety record compared to the same period last year when nine fatalities were registered.
Brigadier Sultan Abdullah Al Aweys, Director of Al Qusais Police Station, highlighted the importance of the jurisdiction area, as it spans nearly 77 sq. km comprising residential, commercial and industrial zones, including Al Nahda, Al Twar and Al Muhaisnah.
He emphasized that the effective implementation of a wide range of traffic campaigns, combined with the efforts of patrol officers, played a crucial role in enhancing road safety measures.
Brig. Al Aweys also praised the efforts of the station's Customer Happiness Section, which recorded 1,116 in-person transactions in the first half of 2023, compared to 1,328 in the first half of 2022.
As many as 43,122 smart transactions were processed by the section during H1 2023, while the Smart Police Station (SPS) handled 600 transactions during the six-month period.
