Two elderly people were rescued in Hatta after teams from Dubai Police prevented their car from being swept away in flash floods triggered by heavy rain.
Footage shared on social media shows Dubai Police officers pulling five cars to safety after heavy rain flooded valleys in Hatta over two days.
Officers were also seen removing boulders from the road and diverting traffic.

The adverse weather left several parts of the UAE inundated, with teams from Dubai Police, Abu Dhabi Police and Sharjah Police temporarily closing roads and issuing traffic diversions to ensure the safety of drivers.
