Dubai International Airport has maintained its strong growth curve, welcoming more than 6.6 million passengers in July. That’s an increase of nearly 30% from the same month last year – when numbers were affected by a runway maintenance programme. Eastern Europe was once again the fastest growing region, while destinations in the GCC and Indian subcontinent accounted for the bulk of traffic. Freight volume and overall aircraft movement also registered growth. Meanwhile, total passenger numbers during the first seven months of this year reached nearly 45 million.
