Dubai Customs inspectors have thwarted an attempt to smuggle 12.5kg of marijuana through Dubai airport.
The officials became suspicious after they detected an "abnormal density" in two bags of a passenger from an African country after it passed through the X-ray machine.
At the inspection area, the passenger denied he had anything to declare.
Later, his bags were manually searched, and the drugs were found cleverly hidden in the inner lining.
Two plastic bags that contained 2.9 kg and 2.7 kg of marijuana were hidden in the first bag, while the second bag had two bags containing 3.4 kg and 3.5 kg of the drug.
