Authorities in the UAE capital have announced temporary road closures on Saturday, as the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon gets underway.
Taking to their official Twitter handle, Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre said staggered road closures will be in place from 12 midnight until 1:00pm.
It will cover roads like Corniche St, Sultan bin Zayed The First St, and Al Khaleej Al Arabi St.
The 42-km route will kick-off in front of the ADNOC Headquarters and pass through Al Bateen Palace, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Qasr Al Hosn.
"Motorists to exercise caution and follow traffic rules and regulations," they added.
Here are the details:
- Road near Emirates Palace: 12 midnight - 9:00 am
- Corniche: 2:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Bateen: 4:30 am to 7:30 am
- Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street: 5:00 am - 9:00 am
- Near Sheikh Zayed Mosque: 5:45 am to 9:30 am
- Sheikh Rayed Mosque road: 6:00 am to 9:50 am
- Sultan bin Zayed The First: 6:10 am - 11:00 am
- Road near Al Wahda Mall to Al Hosn: 6:15 am to 12 noon
