COVID-19 PCR tests can now be done at several shopping malls in Dubai.
The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has set up testing stations at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif and City Centre Deira that operate daily from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on an appointment basis.
People with a fever or any respiratory symptoms should not get tested at the mall as the service is specifically for those who require a test result for travel and other non-medical purposes.
Each screening station can conduct up to 180 tests per day and the results will be sent to the customer within 24 hours.
The test costs AED 150 and appointments can be booked by calling the DHA toll-free number 800DHA (800342).
Humaid Al Qutami, Director-General of the DHA who visited the testing stations on Monday, said Dubai's first line of defence is working day and night to overcome the pandemic.
He stressed that all precautionary and preventive measures issued to protect people from COVID-19 still stand, as the pandemic has not ended yet.
