Four establishments in Dubai have been shut for flouting COVID-19 health and safety protocols as Dubai Municipality steps up inspections to curb the spread of coronavirus.

A fitness centre in Muteena, a salon in Karama and a shisha cafe in International City were pulled up for overcrowding, while a laundry in Naif area was closed for violating health and hygiene measures.

Another 23 outlets were issued warnings and five more fined during the latest checks that covered more than 2,300 premises.
