The world’s tallest tower, Burj Khalifa has lit up in tribute to NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
The special display, which featured an image of Kobe and his daughter, Gianna, was arranged by Ahmed Bin Sulayem, the Executive Chairman of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).
The prominent Emirati businessman has been a longtime fan and friend of the late basketball star, who died last week in a helicopter crash along with his daughter.
Commenting on the incident, Bin Sulayem said: “My deepest condolences to Vanessa Bryant, and the family of Kobe Bryant. Number 24 will forever be with us. Here is to my greatest of all time.”
Bin Sulayem hosted Kobe in Dubai in September 2013 during his first visit to the UAE.
