The region’s largest truck refuelling and rest facility will soon come up in Abu Dhabi.
The Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD) has broken ground for a dedicated Truck Plaza.
It will include a ADNOC Distribution service station, in addition to retail outlets, restaurants and a mosque.
There will be two main canopies and six diesel bay canopies, as well as a community centre with 275 shaded parking spaces for trucks, buses and cars.
The project will cover an area of more than 87,000 square metres, which is almost the size of 12 football fields.
Its subsequent phases may also include a dedicated overnight rest area for drivers and additional comfort facilities.
