Students in Abu Dhabi private schools will get a week off on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.
Taking to their official social media handles, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) said students in the Emirate will enjoy a nine-day break.
Schools will be closed from Monday, May 2, and reopen on Monday, May 9.
ADEK's announcement follows a similar decision made by Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
The authority also reminded students and parents to maintain a Green Pass on the Al Hosn App to return to the classrooms.
