Abu Dhabi's Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) has affirmed its readiness by increasing efforts and operations to manage the unstable weather conditions expected to affect the UAE between March 21 and March 27.
The authority's preparations include activating the emergency operations centres around the clock in Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Al Ain City Municipality, and Al Dhafra Municipality to respond to all incoming reports.
Additionally, teams comprising engineers, observers, supervisors, and assistant technicians have been deployed along with heavy equipment and specialised vehicles.
The department has urged the public to avoid valleys, watercourse areas, and other locations prone to water accumulation during this time, as well as adhere to official guidelines to ensure their safety and the security of their properties.
It also called on the community to contact the Emergency Operations Centres by calling 993 to report rainwater accumulation or any other observations.
The department noted that compliance with these directives will contribute to the success of the efforts of the emergency response teams.
