The Roads and Transport Authority has added 80 hybrid cars to Dubai’s taxi fleet. The step is in line with the RTA’s plan to curb pollution resulting from vehicle emissions. According to officials at the RTA, this initiative ensures the implementation of power saving polices in the country, and is important to development projects, as well as to nurturing a safe and clean environment. The addition of the brand new vehicles raises the total number of hybrids in the fleet from 65 to 145.
